What is a Tintype?
The tintype process is a 100% analog, chemically intensive photographic process developed in the mid 1800's. Staying true to the craft, each tintype is created by hand, and yields a unique one of a kind archival image on a metal plate, which can last hundreds of years. Utilizing period correct lenses, combined with the natural imperfections of this process and it’s UV-light sensitivity, ethereal portraits are captured.
